Reflan - That was out of line.

There is a patch intended and a fix intended.

Yes, it went live without working properly, and some folks burned some metals. But on the whole, you have lost nothing too serious. You can still do your enchants the old fashioned way. You just have to wait a bit longer for the faster way.

Grimsoul - Just out of curiosity, does this info from the test server get posted anywhere (haven't seen it on the test server board)? Or is it just passed around informally? I'm not talking about the addition of the spells (I know that showed up on Lucy) but about the location of the vendors, for example.

I'm fairly new to the test server, but I've been spending more than half my time on tradeskilling - I'd like to get 'in the loop' on new information if that is possible.

      Thanks.

So what is the fix and when is it going to be implemented? Over here http://eqlive.station.sony.com/updates/upcoming_updates.jsp they seem to think everything is fine and say the next patch will be in August.

If this person is on the payroll, then either no one is listening to him, he's not doing his job or he's so badly swamped that he's still testing to make sure that velious quest armor has been put into the game.

No more EQ for me till they fix the crash bug.

Sometimes you will get a file called testeqnews.txt with some info about the patch but for the most part they don't tell us much. Like for the spells I just noticed the update on Lucy's site and looked around until I found the spells.
You would think they would keep you better informed on what there doing but you get more info for the patchs on the live server that Test. Hard to Test something when they don't say what was added to be tested

About all you can do is keep an eye on ooc in game and see if anyone is talking about anything new or check the Test Server message board here.

Some things I have even found out about until the news file was put up for the patch to the live servers.

There is nothing out of line about regretting losing money and having the unholy temerity to mention it.

The truth is, the patch was extraordinarily sloppily done. That does not seem particularly arguable.

                Grimsoul - thanks for replying.

I'll start checking the text file, and I've started getting in the habit of checking Lucy frequently.

I do check the test server message boards but there is often not a lot of substantive information unless it's something really major.

I guess it will just take time to acclimate into the server and start figuring out the best ways to get the new information.

What I find most discouraging in this whole incident is that they have not warned anyone about it. What would it have taken to add this tidbit in the MOTD.

I petitioned for reimbursement. The GM who answered it insisted I leave a Chardok Royals raid (I was not using my enchanter) or he would not reimburse me.

I did get the 4 bricks, enchanted them, and passed them on to the person gave the original ones to me.

I checked Lucy and they have updated spell def's on test.

It looks like those mass enchants for non-stacked metals will be working with the next patch.

I havent repetitioned and am not going to. I would like to have my 600ish plat back, but what I found most disconcerting was the attitude and lack of intelligence displayed by the GM I spoke with when I initially reported the bug.

CS has really plunged downhill over the years, and the communication between SOE and their customers is not such that it could even accurately be labeled as communication.

Folks. *I* warned about letting this thread degenerate. *Lothay* also did a nudge.

Since it is obvious that you INSIST on turning this into an SoE-bashing session after two warnings, this thread is being closed!

Eeesh, folks, couldn't you have bit your tongues a bit so this warning thread could stay actively in place without this?

I shouldn't need to break out a large clue-by-four after already posting a warning in this thread!!!

I am unamused. Some of you really should know better. All of you should really take a step back when there's even a single warning in a thread from a staffer.

Does anyone know if they are finally gonna fix this in the patch tomorrow?

This blurb here http://eqlive.station.sony.com/updat...ng_updates.jsp makes it sound like they arent gonna get fixed.
