Some AWOL NPCs this patch

When I wasn't crashing to desktop every 10 mins, I did my traditional walk around the troll area to see if anything new that hadn't been mentioned was put in this patch as well as to make sure that what had been mentioned was actually put in.

Much to my surprise and delight, they've got NPCs with troll newby quests for all troll classes and it would appear that the quests themselves even work - woot!

Sadly, our numbers have been reduced by two this patch - the rusty weapon merchant was totally removed - why they couldn't simply remove rusty two handers from his inventory I don't know.

Additionally, the ogre gal in the areana who sells the flaming drinks has also been removed for some reason - I don't know if this was a snafu on Sony's part of if someone had found some exploit with her - wasn't she needed for a quest though?

Due to my crashing, I can't confirm if any other cities had NPCs removed.

Flaming drinks huh? Maybe she's AWOL to go get her shipment of the mystery drink that's that one last piece to the Brodder Puzzle?

One can only hope. *sigh*

She's probably hiding in some Shaman's alchemic laboratory trying to figure out Lewena's mystery drink.

The vendor in the EC tunnel that has a number of druid spells is also MIA.

oh, i hope the EC vendor is only MIA b/c of a programming glitch on soe's end. Some people on sullon have a tendancy to kill off useful NPCs like that, and my guild thought the EC vendor was being camped. heh.

Puglia, who sells Flaming Puglia in Neriak foreigh quarter, actually was there yesterday when I checked. She periodically leaves her post and walks to one of the bedrooms, so maybe she was there when you looked for her at her merchant post.

That's good to hear - means that the only confirmed missing NPC is the ogre who sells rusty weapons - too bad - he was an easy way to train smithing a bit.
