• **tradeskill trophy rant REMOVED by site owner**

    Edit by the DenMother.

Stop. Rewind. Read the Visitor's Corner CAREFULLY. Among other things, this is a family site. I don't care how much you mask the profanity to get around the filters, it's not welcome nor necessary here.

If you feel you must rant and rave on these boards, keep it civil and keep it down in Primal Scream, where folks who don't want to deal with it, don't have to.

Moving this back into General and locking it so that you hopefully get the message *before* you post more stuff along the same lines and get your posting rights removed for ignoring site rules.

I don't even know where to begin with this post.

So I'll just point out that the Primal Scream Room is thatta way. *points down the forum list*

          (1) No, you don't have to be 250.

          (2) Watch the language. This is a family-friendly site, keep it that way.

          (3) Pottery really isn't that hard... I got to 250 in less than 20k.. be wise about your recipe choices and get your WIS and INT up.

          (4) Smithing is actually quite difficult. Yes, you can do it very cheaply with Shadowscream armor, but it is still quite hard.

          (5) Posts with a bit more care in their grammar are more likely to be helped. Why? It makes you sound more intelligent and the post easier to read.

          edit -- added:

          (6) This type of post would be most appropriate in the Primal Scream Room, after points (2) and (5) are taken care of.

Might I ask what the frag is your problem? If you're to the point that you're attempting a tradeskill trophey then one must assume you have atleast a passing familiarity with these boards and are fully aware that both your language and attitude are neither wanted nor called for.

If you've failed your trophy 15 times with a 245 skill, then you certainly have everyone's sympathy, but your approach leaves so much to be desired it's dubious that you'll get much.

smithing is a joke it is cheap as hell u want to piss away PP try pottery i am close to 200k on it and still not even F":N maxxed
OK, you've just shot another hole through your credibility - unless you've got some kind of macro program which has done your smithing up to 245 for you or you banged your smithing out before the big nerf last year, you would know that calling smithing easy is like calling the Atlantic Ocean something of a wet spot.

To answer your statements though so that we might be rid of you if you don't intend to change your approach -

            1) There is no longer a minimum skill level to attempt a tradeskill trophy - you could try it at a 1 skill if you had the plat to burn.

            2) If your actual skill is 245 then using a geerlok during the final trophy combine gives you the same odds for success as a natural 250 skill with a trophy - there is no difference.

            3) At a skill level of 242 plus a geerlok, you will have basically a 50% chance of success on your trophy - it took one of my characters 2 attempts and the other 3 attempts at that affective skill level.

            4) Assuming you are providing acurate info on your skill level and you actually have failed 15 trophy attempts then you are simply the victim of horrible luck, but at a 50% failure rate, flip a coin often enough and you are bound to have it land on heads or tails 15 times in a row - you were simply the unfortunate who got 15 tails in a row.
