The Felwithe merchants that sell Mithril for smithing won't sell to me. I'm not KoS, just not loved enough to buy from them.

I noticed turning in whiskers to the exterminator raises Felwithe Merchant faction. Might be slow, but it's one way.

Exterminators were added to most starting cities as of last patch - turn in 4 'bounty' items (rat tails, armadillo husks, etc. depending on city) and get faction.
Tch, isn't the resident server uberguild supposed to know this sort of stuff? :PItzena Alhazared, Revenant of {Planeteers}, Vallon Zek. And also a seamstress.

There's also an Emerald Warrior quest in Kel that raises merchant faction, and freeing either high elf males or females in CB does as well.Retired -

if you have good enough kelethin warrior guild faction (raised by slaying orcs in gfay), hand in 1 ruined wolf, 1 spiderling eye, 1 bat fur, and 1 bone chip to Regren in the warrior guild (one platform north of pod lift). It raises faction with MOST kelethin merchants (most notably it has not yet affected my standing with the 2 merchants between the warrior guild and the fletching shop) and it SAYS it helps Felwithe Merchant faction.
After at least 250 turn ins, my Felwithe merchant faction has not BUDGED. i do not recommend Regren for aquiring Felwithe merchant faction.

The warrior faction quest is very slow, yes. You can also turn in shark meat to one of them there, which i think is supposed to help those factions... but then you're looking at farming sharks for meat.
There are a couple "merchants" around in kelethin on different factions.. one being up and to the left of the newbie lift platform.... i think she's on rogue faction...Comment

Head to Steamfont Mountains near the Windmills for hunting rats, It's not unusual to see 20 of them up on track in that area. Also, check the vendors in the windmills, the newbie area and outside Ak'Anon for the whiskers.Morani
