I wanted to say thanks to the Denmother and all of those who work directly to make this board/site possible. Further, I want to thank all of you who have posted and made guides, etc., so it is so much easier for new Tradeskillers like myself to get started.
My first EQ character was/is a 65 lvl Ranger with a bunch of AAXP. I was in a pretty big guild and did the raiding thing during the last part of his career. I was never into tradeskilling at all (I did Fletching for a short bit but gave it up pretty quick) As most people do, I burned out on him. On a semi whim, I started a BST on Stromm. It was a blast from day one and has rekindled my love for the game. I have become decent tradeskiller (well at least in my little world, not quite 1750 material yet
). The newness of Stromm's server has helped a bunch too. But the whole world of tradeskills adds a whole other dimension the game. Not only is it fun to kill stuff (the basic desire of the whole game IMO), but there is anticipation of the drops (from shadeling silk, to LQ rockhopper hides, to owlbear hides, to greyhopper hides, to acryila, etc.) vs. just throwing the stuff in your back and selling it to some vendor later. I am a Tailor for the most part, ATM just having leveled up my Brewing and Smithing to help out my Tailoring subcombines. I am almost thru with the pains of Wu's armor. I can see now see why there were so many people talking about the woes of Heady Kiola... hehe if I see one more pink bottle...
Anyway, I am babbling. In sum, I just wanted to say thanks again for such a fantastic resource. It has been the keystone to my new character and my new love of the game. /salute
