Beastlords and Wisdom

My beastlord only has 137 wis so you can imagine how painful it is for me to get a skill up. At this point i think until I'm high enough lvl for kei i might stop tradeskills.

My question I guess is mainly for BL's. Im looking for recommendations for high wis gear that isnt going to cost me an arm and a leg. I have been to the bazaar a million times doing searches and there are just way too many items and im sure there are items out there I havent even seen yet.
Any help would be appreciated )

So far I'm at 153 in brewing and it has cost me +-120pp not bad but not good I think. I was getting about one skill up every 1 to 1 1/2 stacks of Faydwer Shakers i tried to combine.

You should do the Testament of Vanear quest (http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=2336) and (http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?quest=144). It’s very easy as quests go, though you may have to spend a lot of time waiting for one of the mobs to spawn. Read the posts beneath both the item and the quest. You’ll find some good walkthroughs and you’ll find that you don’t have to do the entire quest. The testament is +10 wisdom, but its secondary slot only. So if you have something better don’t bother.

Just a quick list of stuff you could keep an eye out for, and that isn't too hard to find.. Im assuming you want a cheap set anyways.

Arms - Acrylia Studded Sleeves (4wis)
Back - Acrylia Studded Cloak (10wis)
Chest - Acrylia Studded Tunic (8wis)
Ears - Forest Loops x2 (3wis)
Face - Velium Ruby Veil (8wis)
Fingers - Velium Jasper Rings x2 (7wis)
Feet - Golden Efreeti Boots (9wis)
Hands - Coldain Skin Gloves (6wis) <-- Maybe a bit expensive but more than likely suit normal day to day wear also, not just skilling.
Head - Iksar Hide Cap (7wis)
Legs - Brown Chitin Leggings (4wis)
Neck - Black Alloy Medallion (5wis)
Shoulders - Elder Wolf Hide (4wis)
Waist - Chitinous Belt (5wis)
Wrist - Runed Mithril Bracers x 2 (5wis)

All that adds up to +100 wis.

Thanks for the info. Most of the stuff you both listed is hat i was looking at, just wanted to make double sure that there wasnt something i was missing before I go blowing platinum in the bazaar heh. And I'll definately check out that quest...free wis pwns

If you can borrow gear from friends I use the following 2 pieces:

Shield of Bane warding (20)
glittering ring of justics (20)

For the neck piece I used to wear the qeynos badge of nobility, fun quest and nice piece with 6 wis.

Earring of the solstice aka PotC earring has 8 wis and very good general stats, quest items worth around 3-5k total on my server. It's 51 recommended though, so depending on your level this may or may not be a good choice.
