Got this off of eqdruids. I couldn't find anything about it on the test message board itself so we'll see.

    June 24th, 2003
    -------------------------

    - Mounts - Fixed a bug with mounts showing up with incorrect Luclin model settings. Mounts should now only show up when the Luclin models for the character race of the rider AND mounts/elementals are both on.

    - Tradeskill chance of failures changed - The higher your skill is over the trivial of the combine, the less likely your are to fail with a combine. This is a reduction on the chance to always fail.

    - Direct Damage spell messages - Striking the killing blow with a direct damage spell will no longer show double cast on their spell messages

    - Target Group Buff - TGB will no longer work with any illusions.

    - Illusion - With Permanent Illusion, Levitation effects will no longer be stripped when zoning and gnome enchanters with a large-size illusion will no longer return to gnome size after zoning. And in general characters that are under the effect of a size-changing illusion should be seen by everyone.

    - Enthrall spells - Enthrall spells will not un-stun the target when they wear off if there are other enthrall spells on that target. Also, when an enthrall spell breaks due to damage it will now remove all Enthrall spells, not just the first one it finds.

    - Bow Graphics - Bows that have been autoequipped will now display a graphic.

    - Auto-inventory - Items right-clicked off your corpse will now be place into your inventory in the correct order.

    - The creation of a group will now work from inside a raid.

    - The group leaders group window will be properly updated if a group member's name is changed.

Obviously I hope this gets implemented with the next patch. But the statement fills me with questions. How high and how much less? Will combines become no fail at a certain level? I'll happily accept any change in that direction, but my curiosity about the details is driving me crazy. Okay, more crazy.

I personally suspect that the ratio of success to failures will be heavily tested and tweaked over the next few days or weeks until the next live patch. The reason for the vagueness is that the devs themselves don't have a clear idea yet of where it should be. Again, this is purely my guess based on speculation.

Like failing 5% no matter if it's 10 triv or 250 triv is silly.

It will be a gradual sliding scale no doubt. Maybe something simple like

        Autofail = 5% - (Skill-Triv)/100

so for example making bog juice (21 triv) with 250 skill will produce.

        5% - (250-21)/100

        = 5%- 2.29% = 2.71%

This is just how I might do it

Well, I have hard time accepting that still. Yes it's better than 5% failure but 2.7% failure on something that is 229 points below your skill is still way too much. I would accept maybe 1% failure up to 100 to 150 below your skills. Maybe. I would rather see no failure on items trivial 100 or 150 points below your skills. However, it's going in the right direction.

Now if they'd only put mounts and elementals on different settings buttons. I strongly dislike the Luclin elemental skins, and am not looking forward to when I get my Paladin Horse AA and have to turn the new elementals back on.

Good. Know how many times I ended up eating the components I was going to combine, or eating stat food I was saving for later because those stupid bags ended up in the wrong order?

Althought I suppose a better way for me to avoid that would be to not die in the first place . . . /ponder

I take the time and check my bag order after I loot as a part of getting myself back in line and ready to fight anew. I dont see the big deal with this fix.

It's not a big deal really, I just get lazy with having to rearrange all the bags. Now I can continue to be lazy without the unfortunate repercussions.

What bugs me is that auto-equipping from my corpse seems to reverse the order that my rings, earrings, and bracers are equipped in. Since one of my rings has an instant right click effect, and since I have that ring hotkeyed (or rather, have one of my ring slots hotkeyed), this tends to cause problems when I auto-equip my gear.

And maybe they'll finally fix fishing bait so that it goes to ammo slot before it goes to general inventory.

Right clicking on my GM bakers trophy will always place it in ammo.

Unless I have my ammo slot filled.

Of course, right-clicking the grubs that go there place them in inventory.

                        :-(

When i loot my corpse, in order top to bottom, my back item, which is a Net of the Deep Sea, goes in my Secondary slot (its also a shield, as well as back). Then, when i move that to my back slot and loot my dagger or Primal sword, it goes in my seconday slot too! (its always in my primary slot, Swiftwind goes in secondary.

I always have to loot my gear in reverse order. Hopefully this will be fixed. Ill let ya know next time i die. (Hopefully not too soon).

I have something similar, heh. I have two Akkirus' Bracers of the Risen with clicky effect that I thought was nice to have hotkey'ed since I had two anyway - until I got another bracer for one of them. Now I don't bother with hotkeys anymore since I never know which is in the hotkey slot anyway.

                            Then I have:
                            - Lodizal Shell Shield on back, Tae Ew Shield in secondary. The shell shield appears first in the list from top-down and auto-equips in secondary.
                            - My Smithing Trophy competes for Primary, Secondary and Range and appears before my Epic ... so it usually ends up in Primary (unless I make sure to loot my Epic first).
                            - My Rope Bridle - which should be in AMMO - usually ends up in the Range slot, thereby blocking my aforementioned Trophy.

As you can see, looting up properly so that the items move where I want them is kinda tricky, with about 3 items competing for Secondary, 2 for Primary and 2 for Range slots. :P

Just the sort of problem that's been plauging us for years

I really hate the way my corpse inventory is laid out.
Rings/wrists/earrings are put on the wrong side, stuff that fits in different slots always goes to the wrong one.. it's a real mess... My bags always get put back in the right order since most of them look different.

I certainly hope that low-low trivial stuff (like metal bits, perhaps) ends up being practically no-fail from this (I can see screwing up one in a couple hundred of something that easy.. but one in 20?... Yeah right)
