I see usable in tradeskill.

I'll take a wild stab at it and say poison or pottery glaze. (note that I have no real clue, just guessing)

*edit* Hmm... too little sleep. That poison requires vamp bat saliva ... Could have sworn there was a poison that used it... *shrug* My wife's rogue alt is all of level 11. What do I know... hehehe *end edit*

Personally.... It's used EXCLUSIVELY for the quests since the Hate revamp. (the potion and poison, not surprisingly, are hardly worth the effort and cost of making) My last Hate trip we had to /rand for the few dust drops, until it was discovered that we had enough drops for each caster and priest that wanted one could get one. (I didn't ask for one, no Essence of a Vampire dropped... So, despite being the ONLY enchanter on a Hate raid for the second time, I am STILL missing my epic piece, and I have to go back... again... 32 Hate raids between me and my best friend... still 0 Essence of a Vampire drops.)

The essence should be a bit easier to get now, unless they reduced the drop rate. In the old hate, one of the reasons it was "rare" was that no one ever wanted to do the revs. Keep your chin up, it'll drop.
