percentage or recipes known

This may be a question that only a developer can answer, but what is the percentage of unknown recipes? If it is something like 5% then new ones would be hard to find. If there are a ton of unknown recipes, however, then it would be nice if we had some encouragement from someone in the know. That way we could do experimentation with the knowledge that we are not just wasting our time.

It is impossible to tell because SOE has always thrown out random meaningless figures which seem to be based upon a whim of the speaker.

They'll toss out stuff like "only 40 percent of the quests in the game are known"(forget exact quote) which likely have no real basis in fact because in order to verify that the person would have to go through 60 percent of the quests in the game and make sure that they actually WORK AT ALL. I'm sure they have not done that. When players know about 2 broken quests for years, the fleshy orb and catfish croak ones, and they STILL don't get fixed for a very long time it kind of casts some doubt on the quests that players DON'T know about.

The same has been true of recipes in the past. One part might not really be forageable, might not really drop, might not really be sold on a vendor, etc. Or the simplest thing of all, the combine just might not work. From the past we have even found that something tested on the test server, then moved to the live server, STILL might not work.

So take what anyone says with a grain of salt.
