I keep seeing these compendiums available for download. I haven't downloaded one yet and the info I want is probably in there, but what are they? Are they something that you can use/view in game or just stories that people write on their experiences? Thanks

They are guides which tell you what to make to skill up on. They usually explain why. They are not available in game unless you minimize EQ and have one up in an alternate window.239 Baking

Actually, many are available in game via the storyline window. Head south, into the Tradeskill UI/Mods folder and download the ones you might be interested. I assume most come with instructions on where to place the files. Then you can Alt-N in game to see recipes, etc.
