  • From EQLive: No more Failures on Trivial items

    Well... Maybe...

    From their "Future Plans" page.

    7) Tradeskills

We will be looking at the chance of failure for tradeskill recipes. We are aware of the concerns of trades folk in EverQuest, and it is on our schedule to review things such as the fact that masters of trade skills can fail the easiest recipes. That doesn't necessarily mean that we plan to change it, but we will most certainly look it over - and probably will change it . "

Don't get your hopes up yet. They'll look into it. Doesn't mean anything until it happens.

      Hopes

I'm not - hence the "Maybe" comment.

Tho they did say "probably will change it" - which is a little more than merely "will look into it" - so I'm cautiously optimistic.

But we could debate semantics all day.

This sounds like a good change. I think there should be a cut-off point so every trivial item isnt no-fail. Something like your skill - 100. So lets say your a 250 smith, anything under 150 would be no-fail for you. Just a thought.

There is already a thread about this -- http://mboards.eqtraders.com/phpBB2/...pic.php?t=8171here</a>.

          Closing to consolidate.
