  • Is there an understanding of what combinable means?

The other day got a stack of dusty cobwebs in plane of hate and tried sewing with them with no luck. They sell to a vendor for 4cp which is a lot less than the usual forage, and don't seem to have a known usage yet. On Lucy they come up with the combinable attribute. (so does fetid fluid, pile of rust, deadly mushroom, phosphorescent goop - some of the other mystery junk forages) I am pretty sure stacking is a separate attribute.

    Any ideas?

Doh, I know I've seen something on this....

Someone posted about a similar problem with things coming up as combinable in bazaar that had no known uses.

I think combinable means able to be used in tradeskills or quests...

So maybe it has a recipe?

Or maybe the combinable flag is randomly put on items to annoy players, hehe.

From everything I've seen, I always understood 'Combinable' to mean stackable.

Right, as in 'combine into a stack'. Darn ambiguities.

That isn't the case though, there are items that come up in bazaar as combinable that aren't stackable, and stackable that aren't combinable.

At least I am pretty sure, when I get home I'll do a search.

I assume that "combinable" also means that the item could be used in one of those quests where you're given a container and told to locate items and combine them before handing in the container.

LOL - recall the post noting that they are going to start putting "tradeskill" flags up with the "lore/magic/etc" notes on an item when you inspect it? This is just the first in a long string of items which are going to come cropping up with these phantom tags and no recipe to go with them.

Delfontes, that might be two different uses of the term. I THINK the flag on Lucy means they are stackable but the one in the bazaar means useable in a combinable container of SOME type (be it tradeskill or quest; it's the same to the code). Yes, it's the same word but I don't think they are applied the same. *@&%! confusing if you ask me.
