Emblems.

There are 2 vendors in PoP that hand out JC recipe books if your skill is high enough.

They used to be different books - one was odd jewelry one was legendary jewelry.

They used to give you the wrong books. The vendor with the legendary text gave you the odd JC book and vice versa.

Now they both give you the odd jewelry book.

What I wish to point out -(and of course I have no way of proving this now )- is that the legendary book used to describe emblems and their uses. I am sure it said emblems can be added to armour, weapons and items . Pretty much word for word I think.

Ok we know of armour recipes ... but where are the items and weapons ??? Fletching doesn't use emblems and smithing got no known weapons that use emblems.

I really think there was a lot more recipes that never made it live with PoP and or are not found yet.

Already solved. Sadly, only one weapon using an emblem made it live, and only half the recipe was in the book.. incorrectly btw...

The first part of the recipe was and ivory skull, loch of siren hair, and an emblem of nightmare. The recipe had the emblem mixed up with the diamond, but that was figured out.

The second part of the recipe, which drops off an oger mob near the basement in PoJ calls for the following combine:

Helm of Nocturnal Phantasms + 20 dorf ales + 1 dorf (any type it seems) + 1 gooey adhesive (semi rare drop in dalnir, of all places) = Dorf of Smashing.... 2hb, 32/30 +50 charisma.. effect: Screeching Thump (causes an infectious laugh that can cause mobs spells to be interupted).. Troll, Oger - Warrior, Sk

Lol, thats a joke recipie right? I mean, where do you get a dwarf to turn in? Or do you just bring along a "friend" to turn in?

yeh, dorfs are kinda (very loose interpretation of that word) dense, so most any excuse will work.. but booze is a great one.. cheap, easy to get if they demand some up front. lets face it, they listen to me as an inkie.... how bright can they be..

On antoher note, i've always wondered about the diaku weapons that can't be used... and all the symbols that things drop. one of the symbols is a quest piee as i remember, but they just seem like items that would bestow power...
