Waterleaf Scale?

Hi guys....I'm not new to EQ Traders although this is the first time I've posted here. I'm in the process of trying to get all my skills to at least 200 and right now I'm working on my fishing.
Anyway while fishing in PoT I pulled a Waterleaf Scale from the water so I immediately checked to see if it was good for any of the other tradeskills and found nothing so I wondered if any of you might know what it is for.
While questing for other tradeskill items I also came across black silt clay in Hollowshade and wondered if that might be for pottery....
And if these questions have been asked before, ops: I apologize to you all for taking up your time. Thank you all so much!

I'm pretty sure the Black Silt Clay is used in one of the Vah Shir progressive class quests that lead to Sonic Wolf Bane weapons & beyond (tying in to the Grimling Forest raids... and even into the BL Epic (indirectly), I think).

Black silt clay is listed as a Hollowshade Moor ground spawn. It is for the bard portion of the Vah Shir sonic wolf bane weapon quest, which also requires ashes of a dark ritual (grimling mystic), owlbear bile and sonic wolf blood.

My lazy kitty bard needs to get of his secret catnip patch in Shadeweaver's Thicket and finish that quest sometime....

waterleaf scales are flagged as usable in tradeskills...
so id be curios for what.

I just started fishing PoN and thid was my first "rare" i pulled outta water. Being flagged for tradeskills it's highly unlikey its vendor trash, but i can't think of a thing atm to try using it with.

Isn't that rumoured to be one of the components for the undicovered/unimplemented/broken (delete as you see fit ) Karana Heartfruit Salad?
