  • They fixed the summoning item with something on cursor bug

Memorize any spell that summons something, be it an imbune spell, summon food, etc.
Put an item on your cursor
    Cast spell

Before this might cause you to lose said item.

    But good news!

This has been changed! You now get a red message indicating you cannot summon something with an item on your cursor!

    Great, more ugly red text.

It may be ugly red text, but I'll be delighted to see that text instead of losing an imbued emerald next time I accidentally cast the spell again before dropping the one on my cursor.

I've done it while chatting and lost mana vials. Nice addition, in my opinion.

I hate it. It really makes working on my cleric's conjuration a pain.

But I can see why other people would like it

if you're working conjure up, and you're summoning a lore item.. just put the first one in your inventory.. the rest of the time you cast, nothign will pop on your cursor... but you will get the "duplicate lore item not allowed" message.

You can also conjure up non-lore items, but turn Fast Destroy on. Hotkey your practice spell to a number, then keep your cursor over Destroy. Destroy them as fast as you conjure them.

Or summon something stackable, and keep your inventory open. One click on the inventory auto-equip box is all you need after each cast. I am terrified at the thought of turning on Fast Destroy, knowing I would somehow some way manage to destroy something precious. The only extra effort in autoequipping is destroying all the summoned stuff when you're done. But at least it's safer

I think it's great, no more imbued gems lost to my inattention!

I'm not exactly sure why this fix went in when a fix that allowed you to have multiples of the same items on your cursor went in the same patch.

If you have Brell's Fishin' Rod, you can summon ale endlessly and you get every single one, but for some reason you can't keep enchanting mithril. *shrug*

The conjuration imps issue is easy to fix .... pick up a coin, cast to your hearts content.

WOW this is extremely annoying to magicians. I lost my share of mana vials and imbued emeralds to the stacking issue on my cursor, but i'd MUCH rather have lost a couple emeralds and learned my lesson than hand each stupid summoned item to each person who wants them, one at a time. ARGH i click enough with tradeskills!
