Ornate armor and new proposed flag dropping

Ornate armors are more of a quest than tradeskills

Sure you have to acquire the ethereal swatches/rings/sheets whatever but after that it is more of a quest than a tradeskill

This is because its a no fail combine (which you actually get exp for btw) and doesn't give any kind of trivial message or anything so its just a standard non skill combine

Hmm, I think the molds etc only drop off mini bosses and above dont they? So if you can kill them then you dont need to prove anything else so the flags arent necessary.

Unless you get flags for killing the bosses that drops the molds which is redundant since the molds are no drop. Anyway if you get flagged for killing something that will drop the no drop molds the argument is redundant. You just dont need the flags to do Tier 2, you will still need to kill the flagged mobs for the molds.

Have I got that right? LOL!

Anyway I just hope they give us PoP weapons and gear to smith as part of the big mellee gear upgrade thats planned. Currently I am in a dead end Smithing wise, I am better doing Ornate gear than making the inferior, hard to get drops for, Legendary stuff.

What ever gave you the idea that ornate molds/patterns are no-drop? Are they rare? yes. Are they usualy used by the people that loot them? Yes. Are they no drop? no! I've know for a fact someone is selling an Ornate tunic pattern on Fennin Ro for 120k as I write this (unless someone bought it last night).
