    Bazaar crashing

    I had a seen a post not too far back in Primal Scream that complained about people crashing a lot while in trader mode. Sounded like it started about the time when LoY came out. Is it still crashing while in trader mode? I ask because I have not been on for a couple months.

    Sometimes I last an entire night in trader mode. Other times, I am kicked after a few minutes. In those latter cases, I know that for some of them, I was using my T1 connection and was actually on a nearby computer and didn't notice any connection lag.

    I've been kicked to desktop while buying from a vendor. I've had my own trader go LD when I've bought from them (when I want something and am not in the same room as my trader). I've had other traders go LD when I buy from them (although, it could be they used /exit).

    In the recent past, tradeskill combines were (maybe still are) bugged in The Bazaar -- get DNC for valid recipes, get wierd results then crash. I once got a bazillion pp in my trader for the few seconds before she crashed.

      /nod I seen that pp bug. Logged in my mule, had something like 900kpp on him. Was jumping for joy, having heard of this bug. I was gonna go buy it up off people, then I crashed standing up =/

        I just put my 24/7 bazaar trader online after a month break, and the bazaar on Kane Bayle seems much more stable than it did before. He's staying online for days now, whereas before he was lucky to stay on line for an entire day. I doubt it's any improvement in my connection, since I went from one cable modem to another one with the same company.

        On the other hand, I'm still too chicken to do combines in the bazaar. I sneak over to PoK to do them. (Of course some people have said PoK is buggy too, but I've never seen that.).

        I was actually thinking about posting a happy rant about how much better the bazaar is now. My trader can actually sell out of MTP's and stay online now.

          I've been in the bazaar overnight for the last couple nights now and haven't had any problem of yet. Thanks everyone for the responses.

            My trader hasn't crash for a few nights now. Looks like they fixed whatever was crashing it. /shrug

              Let's also not forget about folks forcing intentional crashes - had a guildy on last night who, after discovering that for the first time in a while we had a full 500 traders in the bazaar, was asking if someone could come down and cast a few MGBs to knock a few folks off for him.

              Needless to say, he got ripped up pretty good by a few of us in guild chat and probobly even more so in private tells (I told him doing that was a hanging offense over here ) so he, atleast publicly, gave up on the idea.

                Keep getting Mass Rodded on Karana so someone's trying that. Course when I check trader numbers we're usually comfortably below 500 so no idea why. Been stable recently with no need to log my trader back in when I wake up.

                PoK was indeed bugged. I couldn't use LQ cat for poison vials so I just saved it for padding.

                  A (fairly) commonly known "fix" for getting knocked off is turning off your "badword" filter.

                      As of this month it's much better than it was in months previous. One of my computers crashed all over, not just in the bazaar. The second computer crashed mostly in the bazaar. They've both stopped crashing the client and locking up. Now I just get linkdead once a day or so from network issues that aren't EQ's fault.

                          It was going well for a few nights in trader mode, but I woke up this morning to find my screen at the log in screen. But that will happen. It's no worse than before LoY.

                              I got so disgusted I haven't bothered to leave a trader up over night for about 2 weeks now.

                              I've been merchant mining a ton, and collecting some things in general, so maybe I'll try it again. *shrug*
