Pristine Acrylia Shards?

I could be mistaken, but I think these are new drops out of Acrylia Caverns.. No Drop but not Lore.

I'm guessing Tradeskill component or quest maybe? Anyone seen any NPC are recipie asking for shards of acrylia?

There are reportedly a couple of quests involving getting these shards. Unfortunately, I don't know any further details on them, but you should probably check in Grimling Forest.

Over by the Teneborous mountains zone line where there used to be a grimling camp is now a camp of Vah Shir. The named npc's give out quests one of which needs 8 of the pristine shards.

My understanding the reward for this quest is a sum of platinum, something like 750pp.

I have also heard that the camp the Vah Shir NPC spawns in can be taken over by Grimlings, which means he may not always be up.
