    Ranger

Since I have a dual-box setup, I park the forager on the secondary computer while I play my main. At first I was using my Iksar to forage tea leaves, but it was taking a week of foraging to get one stack.

I decided to have some fun and create a WE ranger. I had never used track before and I LOVE it! He's currently level 30 and he tags along on autofollow, tracking for rare spawns when I'm farming hides or shadows.

But usually I just have him parked somewhere and reach over to hit Forage while I'm playing Candiil.

      2-boxing also

I would personally go with a WE Druid in your case. They get SoW at 14 and ports at 19 so they can be pretty independent.

I currently have a level 31 Druid alt with capped skill in foraging and fishing that I can 2-box. It is VERY nice to be able to forage/fish up a stack of desired_forage_01 in about half the time. I plan to eventually get my alt to 39 to cap both fishing and foraging.

I agree. I have WE Druid at level 50 and he, other than my 31 chanter, all of the gathering for my tradeskills. He forages at max 200 plus machette, ports everywhere, and kill mobs including yellow con mobs. Very versatile to have for tradeskiller like me. Only thing I am missing is some of the factions needed for traveling, like CoV faction is still KOS.

First character I ever made was a Ranger. I got so use to track that I almost feel BLIND whenever I play another class. Oh, and I get lost ALL THE TIME if it's not my Ranger. I know places like GFay by the names of the stationary Guards and NPC's, not by the terrain.
