Tae Ew Weapons....

I am going to pose a tough question the the reseachers and readers of this thread...EXACTLY how does one obtain a "Swampwood Staff" in order to create a Tae Ew Two Handed Hammer? I have searched high and low on the web and have yet to turn up anything. I challenge those of you who think you can find anything, know everything and craft all that is able to be crafted to find/post information about this very elusive "Swampwood Staff." Well, I know for a fact that the staff does exist. Yesterday(hmm, its midnight) 2 days ago that is, Grimina was in channel when she found one on a merchant. Bought it up and made the weapon. So it DOES exist, just dont know where it drops.

Hmmmm, interesting...might you know what zone she purchased the staff from? Perhaps, assuming the zone wasn't PoK/bazaar, the mob that drops it is in that zone or one quite close. My assumption is that it is either a CT drop, or it comes from another creature in a zone close by. Thanks for the info again Farnyr, uve been helpful.

Challenge still remains to find what drops this Swampwood Staff or where it can be bought....Cheers!

I believe I got it in PoK. I'm fairly certain that's where it was.

They definitely do drop in CT anyway. If I'm not mistaken someone here said they drop very VERY rarely off any of the 55+ lizards in the zone, like the pristine scales and the flawless hides.

However should you be watching vendors for them..keep in mind they cost 2099p to buy if you are lucky enough to find one.

The swampwood staff has been confirmed by several posters to drop off brown lizards in the 4c area. A rare drop apparently along the lines of the pristine scales.
I saw a Tae Ew Mace for sale on my server and couldn't imagine why the smith didn't make a 2H hammer with the staff. Go figure :roll:

I've gotten ONE swampwood staff. it was on a PC trader in bazaar for 100pp

I made a tae ew mace with it.

Mainly because I wanted one for my cleric, who has 20 skill in 2hb, and wouldn't put down his tae ew shield for a 2hb anyway.

Since I have had a harder time selling the 2HS than I have the 1hs tae ew, I also assumed the 2hb would be a non-seller as well.

Have gotten two swampwood staves in Cazic in 4c in roughly the last dozen long sessions. Not at all common. Not as rare as flawless tae ew hides or pristine scales though, at least in my limited experience.
