  • Acrylia Caverns

Spent a little time in the new AC last night and thought you all might like a little info:

Seems there has been a role reversal. The female grimlings now seem to be tanks and males are more the casting type.

    No more HTs

    No more CHs

Casters still cast a mixture of Shammy and SK/Necro spells

ALL mobs now try to run. (i.e. bring a snare/rooter)

Upper Acrylia mobs seemed to drop easier but had their MR buffed. (I usually just straight slow with my chanter but I was getting resists so I started using Tash and was fine from then on out)

    Spawn points are different.

Shik'nar mobs have been added to the zone. (Those are the blue bugs you see in Fungus Grove only they are lower lvl in AC)

Inner Acrylia no longer needs a key.

The mobs at the IA entrance are around lvl 52-53.

New weapons drop similar to FS with a +3 Bane to Disease. The eye opener was when I sold them to a merchant they went for 142pp/per. They are a bit more rare, only got 4-5 the whole time I was there.

    And the most important part...

Acrylia drop rate seems to be about the same as before the update, if not a little better.

    2 questions:

1 - what were gem drops?
2 - do they still have those seemingly 100 percent MR grimlings (rune smudged)? One runner that resists snare is retarded.

Gem drops were old world. Only saw Emeralds and Peris.

Haven't encountered any 100% MR or FR mobs like the old zone.

What's the min level you would recomment for a soloist Shaman to hit AC?

If the wanderer still paths by zone in, whatever level you feel comfortable dealing with 2 mid 40s mobs that can cast necro spells.

Are the shard mobs still in the same spot?

We comfortably did Inner Acrylia near the south zone out with a 60 beastlord, 60 monk and a 59 cleric. A 65 beastlord seemed to be doing ok down there but we did not explore too far in.

Acrylia dropped at same rate as before (got about 35 drops from a couple hours steady work), got three lucid shards, two "pristine acrylia shards", several "Elder Guard Letter" and "Elite Guard Letter" drops and several "filth covered" weapons, which really do sell for 142 pp each (!)

Oh yes, and there is at least one zone out from Inner Acrylia (many people do not yet appear to realize this), you have to go south from the zone in, killing alot of grimling mobs on the way, and turn west then go up stairs into a room with a targettable "sacrifical cauldron" and about 7 spawns. The zone out is a mosaic picture on the west wall of the room, which you just click on. Takes you to the GF/AC zone line in GF.
