Ok this may not belong here but I figured if anyone knew it would be you guys.

What are the benifit of learning the languages?
I want to just cause they are there.
How high can you go in them?
If I already speak common tongue is it possible to skill up in it and how?

    Just been wondering

Reading random books that you happen to pick up. These books are all transcribed on various sites now, so it's not a huge benefit there. There is also now a charm that works as your "rare" language skills increase. Thene there's the roleplaying aspect....

That's the reason most people do.

Max is 100, at which point you're a Master at that language.

If you're not already 100 in common, yes you can skill up in it. You gain skillpoints by listening to someone speaking that language, wether it be common or whichever one.

There's an NPC in PoJ in one of the cells...a red Fire Drake. He will not talk to you unless you are fluent in either Dragon or Elder Dragon. When you hail him in common, he doesn't understand you.

I believe he gives out a quest, but I'm not sure on the quest or what the details are.

Also, it's pretty cool being able to talk in Faerie, Orc, and Goblin

The alternate quest for a plane of torment key requires you to speak orc to get the quest text, although I'm not sure if it's nessecary to do the quest if you already know the steps. Another use for languages is that the more you have mastered the more powerful the Charm of Exotic Speech becomes, topping off at +9 cha, +4 wis, +4 int, and +4 sv disease.

Its just a shame that NPC's rarely talk in their respective languages but use common tongue, it would make a little more roleplay sense, but would make the game a little harder too.

I hear that the Quest NPC's for alternate enty to HoH and CoD will now require you to use that NPC's native tongue in order to complete the quests. So it appears that Sony is actually going to use these languages for a purpose more often now.
