I went out to the local home depot and for 10 bucks in materials and 30 minutes of my time built a keyboard stand. It holds both keyboards on no slip matts at a height/angle comfortable for me. The bottom of the top keyboard rests just above the function keys of the bottom keyboard. The top one is at a slightly steeper angle to make it easier to hit all the keys without moving your arm too far. For the mice, I've got them side by side on a mouse pad, with the second mouse often getting moved off onto it's own pad when I'm moving around alot. The monitors are side by side.

For tradeskilling the second machine will have either a forager or an enchanter on it just doing enchanting, so I really don't need the second mouse to move more than a couple inches so it can sit on the same pad. For fighting, often I find that the second machine needs to move around as much as the first so it gets it's own mousepad then.

Druid/chanter great fun and very effective but have trouble with casters as chanter pet can't attack.
Luckily, my pet has yet to find this out.

I cast a debuff (Cripple usually) on the caster, it casts on me, and Jobober moves in for the kill, while I move in and chain-stun if necessary. If I'm farming greens I usually don't bother, as I resist everything anyway. Now I use the 62 animation, it's an amazing killing tool - however, this works with the lower-level ones as well.

OK, after a great deal of very useful posts, another question comes to mind, what class to start first on the second box. My main, Quinner, is a lvl 44 shaman. I was thinking of P/Ling a druid up to 30 and then doing true 2-boxing. Sound like a plan?

Moving 2 characters at the same time is VERY difficult.

So unless you plan on doing nothing but root rotting, I'd not go with that combination. Or if you wanted to turn the shaman into a tank and the druid into a healer.

          Dunno, doesn't resonate here.

Make a great support team (I can field cleric/chanter when the mood suits me).

I two box a Ranger/Druid combo and most of the time the Druid is on the "off box". Moving the two of them isn't all that hard for me. I have /follow hot keyed (though I think /follow Morani would work too, I'll have to try it) and just glance over to the off-box to make sure the druid doesn't get left behind due to a tree or something.

As for farming, the Ranger gathers and brings them back to the druid who has an AE hotkeyed to assist, stand, pause 10, cast the AE, pause for the spell duration, sit. The Ranger keeps on attacking and switching targets as needed (remember to use F8 with large groups so you don't end up targeting a corpse and wasting the Druid's mana).

If you plan on using the Shaman as the main then the ports will be VERY useful to you. The complicated thing though will be making the most use of all of you spells. It'll be a steep learning curve to get it down but once you do it's VERY rewarding. (I know someone who 2 boxes a Necro and a Mage; THAT's work!) Just remember that hotkeys are your friend! If you don't use a lot of hotkeys strategically then at best you are wasting a lot of time, at worst you die; a LOT.

Something you might want to try is to PL the Druid up to 15-20 and then start a new tank that you can PL with the Druid on the off box to 10. This is JUST to get a feel of 2-boxing the Druid in the off box. By Level 10 you should have a good idea of the basics of it and be ready to do something more complicated with it.
