I tend to have a high tolerance for repetition. I do trade skills don’t I? So I do the delivery quest between the barbarian herb vendor next door to the soul binder with all of my characters. You get sewing supplies from him and deliver them to the gnome who stands against the wall in the bazaar directly behind the bank when you zone in from SH. Then you get a bag of gems from the gnome and deliver them to the barbarian. If you run this quick quest enough you can get ally faction with the vendors around the pool, but it doesn’t help a lot with other factions. But between that quest and running the amulet quest my druid, ranger shaman and necromancer can all buy from every SH merchant.

Thanks to all for the help (man I love this site)....
Btw, yes, I did have the amulet equipped. But altho the FG run is a small pain, I can do that quest a few more times and see if faction changes.
To my fellow ikky....I do prefer skilling in Cabilis, but there's simply a lot of things NOT there that would save me a lot of combines. I can buy the stuff for MHB, but the trivial is too high right now for my piddling 149 skill. The shakers wouldn't be such a money sink. But...there is no elven wine, gnomish spirits, or dwarven ale to be found in my home town.
Heck, I have to zone into West Cab to get regular water
Oh, one more question...deluxe sewing kits. How rare? I found one on a Cabilis merchant for 1 pp. Needless to say, I bought it, altho I haven't even touched tailoring yet.
Again, thanks for the invaluable info!Grenoble

Deluxe sewing kits are kinda rare due to the fact that they are no longer in game. All of the ones in circulation are from about 3 years ago. Whether or not you plan to tailor just yet, it makes a nice giant sized 10 slot bag. Great unless you have 8 weight reducing bags.Tinile, 85th Druid of the Seventh Hammer

I do intend to pick up tailoring...soon probably, since my mule has gathered several spider/spiderling/shadeling silks.
But when I saw that kit on a merchant, in all honesty, my first thought was...
"OMG imagine what I could resell that for!!!" :shock:Grenoble

I thought I saw a question about how an iksar can buy Elven wine or Dwarven ale to make Fedwer Shakers? Why not just buy them in Fungus Grove from the female halfing bartender? She sells both.Mayyne Battlesmith Lvl 55 Smithing Enchanter Drinal
