I realize that making a trophy combine is a big deal for most players. I just made mine last night after saving up for it for about a month. So I can understand people trying to stack the deck in their favor by buffing everything that can be buffed. After all, it can’t hurt. However, is it really necessary?
Please correct me if I’m wrong, but I understood that stats had zero effect on trade skill success rates. Stats improved skill gain, but only your skill and items like geerlocks determined whether or not you succeeded in a combine. If this is the case, then unless your trying to gain skill from your trophy combine it really doesn’t mater what your stats are. My shaman made his brewing trophy with his standard wisdom of 188. I’d thought about buffing his wisdom, but I didn’t think it would make any difference. Am I right?
