  • Celestial essence

I am confused about making this. It seems from the directions on the website that it can only be made by pure casters. Is this true, or can a druid make it? And do all the recipes listed there give celestial essence as an end-product?

Celestial essence is a no fail combine that can be done by anyone--it requires no skill, just a mortar and pestle, the appropriate components, and lots of time.

      Celestial essence

So anyone can combine any of the components listed on the link to celestial essence? Say for instance you have one of the necro components listed and combine it in a mortar and pestle, anyone will get celestial essence out of it? Or is it specific to the necro class what you get out of it?

anyone can combine the ingredients. I myself last night combined scent of marr and celestial solvent. I am a Troll Shaman.

The most popular way to make Celestial Essence, widely used in trade skills, is to combine scent of marr and celestial solvent in a mortar and pestle. The reason for this is because both of these items can be bought from NPC vendors. I believe the total cost for both is somewhere between 2 and 3pp.

If you think you are going to have to make these fairly often, I’d suggest searching the bazaar for a collapsible mortar and pestle. It’s a tinker made item. Depending on your server, these can cost a few hundred plats. But if you can afford one its well worth it. Your only other options is to keep one as a container, taking up a slot that could hold a 10 slot container, or buy a new mortar and pestle every time you need to make more Celestial Essence. My characters carry collapsible spits and mixing bowls too. At this point I don’t think I could live without them.

I love collapsible items but I have to admit I haven't invested in the mortar and pestle as a direct result of the increased bank space. I'm quite happy to give up one slot out of 16 for the amount of essences I make (yeah, I do solstice robes and holy cakes. I'm a masochist.).

I think the combine price is just over 1pp per, will check.
