Recycled Platinum

I've done a few searches, can't find this listed anywhere--forgive me if it's somewhere obvious. Any use for Recycled Platinum from PoI, or is it just merchant fodder?

There's a number of merchant fodder items in PoP zones that are just there to make up for the lack of cash loot from anything such as rotting legs in PoD or silvery spoons from PoJ.

Aaah.. there was a time when everything had a use....

The thing that baffles me is the 'Bag of Platinum' I see on vendors occationally who wand over 10k for the thing... wtf is that?

The bags of platinum are what you get when you hand in a horse, that's why there's almost always a few of them for sale in the Bazaar stables.

Was in Felwithe at the Cleric 's guild the other week and saw one of these bags on one of the priest-merchants.

My guess is that it must be a magic bag. Even my Barbarian Warrior friends (or Ogre warrior friends, for that matter) would be unable to walk with that much plat dragging in their pants... :shock:
