  • So the Fan Faire is coming up....

Maybe we can get a list of things that could be brought up at the Fan Faire Discussion in regards to Tradeskills.

    Here's a few:

    1. Rarity of come Elemental dropped tradeskill components
    2. Aid Grimel quest, is it broken or recipe disabled (baking)?

I'm sure there's many more, and I had a few in my head but they've suddenly escaped me, so maybe this can get a discussion started at the least

Here's some more, off the top of my head.
Old, non-BD, erudite tailoring still needing purified mana (and hence four rubies) per combine. (<-- personal pet peeve )
    Vah Shir Cultural
Troll Cultural Baking - will it ever exist, yes ot no?
Troll Cultural Smithing - will it ever be improved? (both for Cigarskunk )
Gaps in existing cultural (Bristlebane imbues for halflings, Solusek Ro imbues for the caster items, etc)
Shadowscream stats vs time to farm.
Why no Shade silk/Heady Paella equivilent to Wu's? (another pet topic)

OK I'm running out of ideas, obviously.
Itzena Alhazared, Revenant of {Planeteers}, Vallon Zek. And also a seamstress.
Gelcea Macha, Wandering Animist of Tarew Marr. Will be a smith, one day.

There are so very few items with more than 5% skill mod...

+15% VT Gloves, +15% Creator Hammer, +10% Seru-minion Belt (for Smithing)
            +10% Shei Shears (for Tailoring)
            +10% Robe (for Tinkering)

            Will there ever be more?

Are the Pristine Tae Ew Scale & Flawless Tae Ew Hide drops being looked into? Tae Ew Blood drops are fine (perhaps slightly too good), but these other items are still insanely rare.

Keyne Falconer, Paladin of Erollisi Marr for 66 Seasons.

Brewed tiems with stats are too weak compared to its baking counterpart. Fix brewing the same was smithing was fixed and put in some better high end stuff.

Why can't trivial items be made auto-success with the trophy?

Player made charms (jewelery, pottery, smithing), any plans for this?

Among the various smithing gaps -

unimbued Darkscale armor for ogres (Crude Darkscale, anyone?)
                  Garshok
95th Dreadlord, Povar-Quellious, 300 Ogre Grand Master Smith, 300 all skills
(glad the climb to 300 is finally over)

                  Zopharr
95th Priest of Brell, Povar-Quellious, 300 Dwarven Grand Master Smith, 300 all skills
(holds his 15% smithing trophy in his off hand and pretends to dual-wield - and hopes the Holy Dirt of Brell he's carried for twelve years will have a use in the new expansion)

                  Rishathra
95th Shaman of Inny, Povar-Quellious, 300 Troll Grand Master Smith
(got so tired of looking for a troll smith for armor that I made one)

                  Marzanna
                  95th Necromancer, Povar-Quellious, 300 Tinker - Tailor
                  (still working on Solder, Spy)

Halfling plate -- warrior and cleric imbues
                      Halfling Chain -- rogue imbues

                      " end quote "

Are you referring to low end armor or high end aka BD ?

Bd is Brellium Chainmail RNG, ROG; DWF, HFL, GNM for agnostic

and Mischievous Chainmail for Bristlebane ROG; HFL, GNM, DWF, HEF

The Brells of course Underfoot Chainmail ROG; DWF, HFL, GNM

                      Link http://eqtraders.com/secrets/smithing_stats_dwarven.htm

For the low end Dwarven Chain

WAR CLR PAL BRD ROG SHD RNG SHM; HUM ELF DEF HEF DWF HFL GNM

This also comes with a Brell and a Bristlebane imbue.

Not being overly familier with Halflings " sorry Denmom " I am not sure if there are any other gods except karana being left out. Though of course they can wear the Non Imbued versions. Anything to increase my customer base works for me.

Due to the increase in tinkerers on E marr " dang you Wurliben " the Gnome armor with all its neat effects has taken away a third of my business.

                        just a coupla quickies

                        1. Hear, hear! on the where are the Brewed equivalents to the PoP baked items? Gimme a stat beverage that gave 30 direct HP (as opposed to the STA available on current Luclin-era beverages), and I'd never be poor again.

                        2. Is DEX as an alternative statistic to INT/WIS live for Tailoring yet or not?

                        3. Will Half-Elven cultural be a possibility if/when the Unkempt Forest is released?

3a. If not, what can us halfies do (short of re-rolling) to learn the Culture of one of our parent races (assuming our choices are Wood Elf and Human)? Prolly tough to code, I'm sure, but always worth checking...

                        4. GM Fishing Trophy?

                        5. Stacking of +% tradeskill items? (yes, I know it doesn't currently work, but could/will it?)

                        6. AA to increase 1 (and only 1) tradeskill past 250?

Ok, post-lunch food coma setting in now, brain shutting down...

Improve drop rates for shadowscream armor combines, or provide a different skill up method (not sickles) between 188 and 250.

Will anything ever be done to re-address some of the stat inconsistencies on the BD Cultrual armor?

There are still many BD Cultural items where the stats seem off. Most glaring are cases where the Imbued version of an item has the exact same stats as an unimbued version. Underfoot Platemail Boots compared to Brellium Platemail boots is an example, in case someone was looking for one. There is a fairly long list of these out there somewhere.

Reconfirm (maybe with an audio file to convince the doubters? /smile) the message from the last fan faire: "There is a greater chance of skillup on success than on failure".

I'll second the 'tradeskill masterery AAs' for the other tradeskills.
