What's sad is that one of the main tanks of my guild is a dwarf who dyed himself that same color of green the dy before this comic came out.

      Eeek

LOL I too have seen some definite fashion disasters walking around out there Unfortunately I must feel a certain culpability as I have sold an enormous number of prismatic dyes...but ya know, I don't fire the gun, I just sell it. The screaming pink ogre with the lime green helmet who you have to look at every raid is *not* my fault LOL

There are two ogres in bright pink plate that I see in the Bazaar as traders on occasion, always standing next to each other.

(I don't have a trader mule. I just use whichever character has the goods I want to sell at the time, so I definitely won't be putting any characters in bright pink or radioactive green gear anytime soon)

I still love the original Erudite plate look, and I thought about setting myself up in the original colors. Unfortunately, it didn't work out too well. The black bug kicked in, which I find highly ironic, as it means I can't match anything to my Gauntlets of the Black. The Dark Grey just wasn't very nice to look at.
I also think that the old outfit (cloth or leather over the arms, and a decent looking 'skirt' around the legs, plus the old hood) is part of what made the colors look so nice. A silver chest with black limbs just doesn't look as good with regular pieces of armor.

          I miss the old look.

            re:...

These things are probably the main reason I've vowed not to make prismatic dyes. I have the skills, and I can easily get the components. But on the first day of LoY, I watched a neon pink Vah Shir bard running around on TP outside of Gukta and decided there were probably better uses of my time than giving people aneurysms. I'm still holding out hope that "The Fashion Police of Tholuxe Paells" becomes an actual guild.

Over on Fennin Ro there is a bard who is running around in hot pink pants the deepest blue BP and almost neon green arms. Looks like Rainbow Bright threw up on him.

                    Hmm...

                    See I wanted the dyes...

I play a Halfling Enchanter (well.... Dark Elven Enchanter who's been adopted by Halflings... got my squad ring and everything)

But my Insidious Robe doesn't show up very well... looks like a neon blue vest with nothing else...

So I dyed everything but my chest the EXACT SAME TINT (10/50/200) which made my fashion disaster Runed Circlet and Golden EB look decent... but the jewelry wrists have no graphic.. so the tint didn't take there.

My wife HATES the yellow toes the GEB give her... she's still trying to find out what tint she wants to make them look like "flesh colored" again. (like the Acolyte Anklet)

Actually the dyes make raiding a lot easier.

Our main monk pullers are Neon orange, and Neon blue.
One of our main tanks is Neon pink.

Having bold bright colors does make finding the action a lot easier when it gets hectic. Also in a dungeon-crawl place not running past the monk is a lot easier when he tells the raid to move up to him. =)
