  • Skill Caps for Trade Skills?

    Hi!
Ive checked the boards for this info but cant seem to find it, please dont roast me for the newb question

Does the (Level)*5+5 skill cap found with most non trade skills apply to tradeskills? ie. Level 12 PC cannot exceed Lvl 65 in smithing?

I dont want to blow a load of plat trying to push through something I cant...

    thanks

Tradeskills that are not level dependant:

    smithing,jewelmaking,tailoring,blacksmithing,brewi ng,baking,fletching
you can be level 1 and 250 skill

    ones i dunno about; fishing,make poison,tinkering,alchemy

    level dependant-research

Fishing is not level dependent, research is (level-15)*5, make poison seems to be (level*5)+5, tinkering has no cap but requires you to be level 16 before you can start, and alchemy is (level-24)*5.

          Actually, Fishing is level dependent.

          (level + 1) * 5 or (level * 5) + 5

Thanks Craftah, I was fairly certain of that, but didn't bother to go look it up when I read the post the first time.

            Who cares about fishing anyhow?

j/k I love my fishin' pole, often fought with it... but for some reason I don't do much damage.

Hmmmm, I was under the impression it wasn't capped, and never hit a cap when fishing at low levels. But that was a long time ago, so I can't positively confirm it either way.
