I found leggings when hunting in the tunnels in Shadeweavers that were Magic, Lore and NO RENT. The stats were really nice and would have loved to have them to replace my banded. Good thing I noticed the NO RENT tag

Their name is Xakra Dat (AC 7, HP 1, sv magic 1, All/All) and the npc that dropped them is named after them. Its the darker monkey looking npc. I am guessing that those are for some of the kitty quests in Shar Vhal but I found no reference for them in the quests.

Anyone have any idea?

It's a theory that they can be made into armor similar to the way that Xakra Kel armor can be made into Shaded Hopperhide armor but the recipie remains undiscovered as yet.

The recipie isnt undiscovered. Hail one of the two merchants in Shadeweavers and they tell you what it is. I forget exactly, its been so long since i did it.

The recipie for Xakra Kel has been known for a long time, The recipie for Xakra Dat is still a mystery.

The drop rate for Xakra Dat armor is so poor that even if someone wanted to try to experiment it would take tham forever just to get a piece to work with. I have skilled smithing to 116 on three characters from farmed Chunks of Condensed Shadow and so far have only seen one item (also leggings for me).

And, of course, the fact that this stuff is no rent complicates the issue additionally. No Rent Tradeskill components are fabulously stupid, IMHO; I hope we never see another expansion with as many bad ideas as Luclin.
