Oxidized Armor Questions

Greetings friends.

I am wondering if anyone has discovered this new armor and where I may be able to read on it.

Last evening during my game time a smither on the Zeb server was Auctioning a pair of Oxidized Fine Plate Leggings.

To be honest I got a quiver of excitement and hope, thinking perhaps they added an easier skill up path beyond the Fine Plate. However he would not relinquish any information to me about the skill.

So I turn to you. Anything you can give me to look for in game or web site would be greatly appreciated.

Interesting. There are new tailored gnome intelligence caster robes that require an "oxidized robe pattern" that you get by telling Tesil Gludien (found in Ak'Anon at 1194, -720) "I need a robe pattern"

Try asking around the gnome warrior and padadin guilds to see if you can find an NPC giving out "oxidized armor molds" or something.

Or check NPC merchants around the Ak'Anon cultural forge — it would be nice if there was finally a use for it.

Howdy, thanks for the info.

But i don't think it would be for gnomes. The armor was used mainly by medium sized toons.

On Zeb it is truely surprising to see people or a person I should say selling the gnomish cultural armor. "Clockwork Armor" There is so few gnomes on our server he is pricing the Breastplate at 5k where everything else goes 15-20 for other cultural items.

But good information to know for my other toons.

There are "Oxidized Steel Plate"s from PoI, are there not? Maybe someone has discovered a use for them.

If you can,get a link from the smith regarding the item in question.

Given that proof,the rest is reverse engineering.

Yeah he does have a link for them. 20ac adds wis and sta i beleive. But he is still trying to sell them today and won't give out any information on where to make them.

If it's something that recently showed up, I'd be willing to guess that it's one of the new random LoY drops, and he's just being coy about the source.

I've heard nothing about any new player-made oxidized anything, not counting the gnome robe pattern carrying that name.

Oxidized Fine Plate Legs dropped today from the captain of stormweave in dulak (rare spawn on the boat). Not a tradeskill item.
