There are deluxe toolboxes for sale in PoK that have ten giant slots.

Nelin Signus (403,841) and Maryalis N'Ryt (-843, 195) sell them.

Please remove this post and that little gnome from the game thanks.

    Hand Made backpacks for sale...

    Anywhere you want to be

My plan of gathering a few hundred pelts and making backpacks fell through, I ended up buying all the cheap pelts for a couple months anytime I saw one under 20pp...

And just resold the pelts for 45pp each, kinda backfired thinking I could raise the average price of pelts by putting the ones I've bought for 45pp on my trader, hehehe.

Oh well, I'll be too busy with my new Shammy Froggie to worry too much about selling backpacks.

Besides, one of the basic rules of aquisition is that any profit is a good profit .

Needless to say, though I’ll say it anyway, the extra bank space is THE reason I bought the expansion. And though the trader satchels are fine for the bank, they are what I have in my banks at the moment; the deluxe toolboxes are cheaper, lighter and can be traded. And now that you don’t have to gate into Iceclad to buy them, they’re a great way to fill up those new bank slots.

              Another toolbox drop

I still have an Iksar warrior friend who repeatedly kills the gnome from the mutant camp in Echo Caverns just for his 10-slot toolbox.

I, on the other hand, would much rather visit his merchant friend in PoK and buy one for less than 2 pp. Trader satchels are decent bank containers if you never need to hand a bag full of stuff to anyone or leave the Bazaar with one in your inventory. But they're way too heavy to be really useful on most toons when you can buy toolboxes -- unless you're regularly selling 8 bags worth of stuff as a trader.

The handmade backpacks are still selling well. The tookboxes are 10 slots, but weight 3.5 pounds each; the packs are (I think) a pound, and have that 10% weight reducer on 'em. No worries so far! (Best part about toolboxes is it makes it real easy shuffling things around characters & mules--fill one up, hand the whole bag over, can't do that with satchels.)

Handmade BP are 3.0 and 10% wr - not a HUGE advantage over deluxe toolboxes if you actually plan to carry stuff around, and no advantage at all for bank storage.

It's the exchangability. I carry 6 backpacks and can trade them with 6 empty backpacks in my bank - makes farming unstackable stuff (velium, in my case) AWESOME. No need to log in a mule /happy dance! =)

i use leatherfoot haversacks for heavy things like ore farming, trader satchels and handmade backpacks for bank, several of each. quest items in the satches usually along with stuff i wont need xfered much, stuff i need to xferr goes in backpaks. havent got around to deleting 1 of my mule accts yet, but will with all this extra bank space.

I like being able to keep a planar jewelry kit in the bank now for making the planar imbue spells, and on another Garshok a toolbox in the bank for recharging his Anizok's Minimizing Device.

I'm sure eventually I'll fill all these empty slots and will need these two slots for storage - but in the intervening three or four weeks, I'm wallowing in the luxury. <grin>
