I guess the question is do you really want to just be 1750 or do you want to have something to show for it? Human nature is to make something symbolic in recognition of an achievement. It's a catch 22. I don't feel I'm not as good as them. But unitl I have them all I won't feel I've accomplished the end goal wether I was the first or last to do it.

Would be nifty if you could take like 7 trophies
Smithing
Tailoring
Pottery
Brewing
Baking
Fletching
Jewel Crafting
And combine them together in container for some SUPER nifty item!

I would think for the bags as well. Each trophy allows you to do that quest for a 100% weight reduction, 10-slot, GIANT container NO DROP bag. Now how awesome would having 7 of those be?

Trophies are only 5K? That is about what it is costing me for each skill rise these daysOriginally posted by DelfontesI don't think 5k is a significant amount to anyone who has achieved 1750.
Heehee!
Maybe I'll try now to break up the boredom...anyone tried early and regretted it? I guess I'm 242 with Gearlok!

Probably about as awesome as having 7 tink bags. Only much more expensive.Originally posted by Kaidian BladeI would think for the bags as well. Each trophy allows you to do that quest for a 100% weight reduction, 10-slot, GIANT container NO DROP bag. Now how awesome would having 7 of those be?

Excapt that, AFAIK, the proc on the trophies is exactly the same, regardless of the trophy. Therefore it makes exactly the same container, any one of which you can turn in to get the rentable version. In other words, you don't get more than one Grandmaster's Carryall, no matter how many trophies you have.Garulf Woolfetysh, 59th Barb Shaman, Cazic-Thule

Well that's just... just... not right.
I'm very upset upon hearing this. I guess it really is just for the Pride and Bragging rights then.

I'd really like to see Sony implement a way to combine all 7 general tradeskills if and *only* if you have 250 in all 7 skills, for a "1750 club" trophy with nice stats, etc. I imagine even by the end of this year, there will only be 100 or fewer people in the game ever to have completed this task, and it would be nice to see that they have something neat to show for it.Exarch Shortyrez Starfury

There is a PoP quest for people with 250 in all trades and so far the reward from tier 4 tradeskill combines is a very nice earring : http://lucy.fnord.net/item.html?id=16254 and the quest is unfinished as of yet. That would motivate me to ensure i had everything to be prepared to finish the quest

(Disclaimer: I only have one trophy, but I'm determined that the other six are in my future.)
In addition to all of the other reasons that people have posted above, there's at least one other, at least for some characters. As an enchanter, CHA actually is a big thing (and this would apply to any class that can charm, and to a lesser extent to those that can lull). +10 INT and +50 CHA is a nice item, even without any other benefits, and doing it twice would let me rotate out a bunch of other items in favor of resists (or in some slots, better +INT instead of some +INT and some +CHA).
I probably would hardly ever wear three, but two is a definite thought (and I never un-equip the one I have now).Velurian

I agree with this. I am not a chanter but that extra strength and charisma comes in handy. I have 3 trophies but only wear 2 when I tradeskill (cleric epic is definitely better than a trophy on main). Since with KEI I am way above my 295 wisdom at this time, I put two trophies in secondary and range for more stats. I will still get all 7 trophies eventuallly though.Originally posted by VelurianIn addition to all of the other reasons that people have posted above, there's at least one other, at least for some characters. I made two trophies. The first one was because I wanted the bags. The second one was because I wanted to dual-wield daggers to complete my rogue disguise. The extra 5k per attempt was insignificant to me.
Also I'm a level 62 enchanter. When I'm charm-soloing I like to have high charisma. With both trophies equipped I can just barely get to 265 charisma. I'd normally never equip such crappy items for real fighting, but it's just what I need when charming.
I don't expect to make all seven, which is what the original question is really about, but having two is definitely useful.83/1000 High Elven Enchanter on cazic (8x300 tradeskills)
