  • what should I do for trade skills

My wis is 237 and my int 152 unbuffed. I am a high elf cleric. I have baking (useless skill) at 189. I was bored so I skilled it up that high. I would like to do smithing. My smithing is at 21 right now. Realistically how long would it take to max this out (250) if platinum was not a problem.?
Why are you running? It's just a dragon. How many HP's could it possibly have?

"Platinum not being a problem" for smithing means having some 400k or so--in which case you can skill to 250 on entirely store bought components (though you will need a druid to imbue a lot of emeralds and you will need to learn brewing) and you can probably max the skill in a hundred hours or so.

If you don't have that kind of stash, then - assuming that you can farm level 30 mobs well - plan on some 600 hours or so

      DO WHATEVER YOU WANT!

Sorry, but I hate this question. Do what you want, Baking is NOT a usless skill, there are a lot of very nice items that come from it. Hero sandwiches, MTPs, Resist meals...
Just do what you want, if you like Smithing then do it. If money is no problem, then just sit with 500kpp and burn it till you have 250 and the GMT. You wont be happy, but you'll have the skill. That's my 2cp...

        Druid?

By the way, they don't need a druid; High elf clerics can imbue emeralds too.

Im with EnfinitiStarr8 on this. Why people insist on asking 'How much will it take to get my skill to....' or 'How long' are really not wanting to learn tradeskills, they just want the skilllevel quick and dirty. Now mind you theres nothing wrong with that, but the answer to the above questionis so ambiguous as to not be answerable. With so many variables such as Level, Race, Faction, Supplies, Acces, Playing time, Plat, Patience, and the will of the RNG you will never get a consistent answer. If you want to learn tradeskills then learn them, perform them, do what you have to do to get to the level you desire but know its going to either a) cost way more than you will ever take in in the immediate future or b) take a good length of time. Tradeskills, just do it.
