  • Lvl Restriction for Trade Skills other than Alchemy

Just a stupid question. I was not much into trade skills but they seems cool now.

Are there lvl restriction on Trade Skills?

Example: Could a lvl 1 Gnome Enchanter become a Master Jeweler or Tinkerer?

Yes, he could be a 250 jeweler, baker, tailor, or anything else.

But Tinkering, Alchemy, and Poison making are level restricted.

Tinkering is 50 , automatically. (for gnomes). At Level 16, you can start skilling up in it.

The other two are level restricted, but I dont know the exact levels. But only Shaman and Rogues and do them.

A (rich) gnome could grandmaster jewelrycraft at level 1.

But they need to wait until they reach 16th level before they can start gaining skill in tinkering. At 16th level, gnomes have a starting tinkering skill of 50. With enough plats, a gnome could become a grandmaster tinker at 16th level.

BTW, tinkering is a special case -- a gnome has the ability to grandmaster tinkering and another tradeskill of their choice.

Tinkering, poison, and alchemy do not count as your "one" trade skill over 200. There are seven tradeskills that count towards the "one" while those 3 do not. They are tailoring, jewelry, blacksmithing, pottery, baking, brewing, and fletching. To get another of the seven trades kills over 200 after you have done one of them you need to add 3 aa points into the aa ability new tanaan something(not positive on the full name of it). For every 3 aa points you put into this ability it allows you to take an additional one of the seven trade skills over the 200 barrier. If you use 18 aa points in this aa ability you can take all seven of those trade skills to 250.

A gnome rogue can take 9 trade skills to 250 if they ever so desire(tailoring, blacksmithing, jewelry, baking, brewing, fletching, pottery, and then posion(rogue only) and tinkering (gnome only).

Alchemy is level restricted in two ways...

          1) Can't do anything before level 25
          2) Cap per-level is 5 points, starting at 25 (ie max skill at 25 is 5, at 26 it goes to 10, up to 205 skill at level 65).

Alchemy also seems to be capped at 200 max currently even at lvl 65 when it should hit 205.
