but of course that didn't turn out to be the case. so now the question is, what are whole sets of items doing in the database? most likely of course is something soon to be implemented, and judging from the names (copperweave = steelweave) they should be player made. judging from the numbering of the first three sets (theyre all successive) they should be related, and that probably means all made by the same recipe set

First, I actually obtained this list of items from a third party source (EQEmu). Now...having said that, much of their info is obtained through the same methods as Magelo and Lucy, and they use the same item numbers. So, while it is possible that these items are fake (just like there are fake spells in the spell database), there also exists the possibility that these items are real(and just undiscovered). If you don't believe me, check some of the items in Magelo to see what their item numbers are there.

The other thing to keep in mind is that items need to be added to the item database before they can drop/be used in the game, just like spells. So, these items may be REAL items, and just not obtainable.

One way of seeing if items are related to anything is to look to see if they are in consecutive numeric order with any items that we do know the origins of.

The items around the 9200s look pretty random, and there doesn't appear to be a pattern.
