I've taken up a (self induced) challenge - make a 3,000 tradeskill toon. 
I have a Gnome Rogue that I am going to use for this.
She already has 300 in poison making as well as a maxed trophy. I am currently getting all of her other skills into the 150-200 range (but none, except tinkering), over 200. She hasn't started research yet (I know it will be INSANELY expensive but I should be able to afford a couple of kronos a month to sell in the bazaar to fund this addiction).

P.S. - has anyone done this (I'm assuming someone has)? Do you have any suggestions?
