  • Is there a cap to gaining skill points?

Are the skills like the skill points for offense, defense, etc ... where you cap it per level or can a lvl 1 GM smithing and such?

    Thanks

Trade skills have no cap per se other ethan their max value of 200 (You can go up to 250 in one particular skill while the rest remain at 200 untila round lvl 51 with the addition of some AA points you can then bring up all tradeskills to 250). Your skilling up is reflective of the trade itself and the combine you are working on, not your Level.

Ahhh, so in order to get to 250 you must have aa points. The reason I ask is because on Veeshan there is only like one person that makes the Helanic Tundra armor ... so I want to start working my way there. Do you know if the guides here for smithing are pretty good? or are there better out there?

This site is hands down the best.

But don't expect to compete in smithing if you have to ask what level, because you are too low, hehehe.

Expect to spend hundreds of thousands of PP and many months to GM smithing... there is a reason only 1 guy is doing it

LOL .. I hear ya. No actually im lvl 49 almost 50, but was sure if it capped each lvl or not. My wife wanted to jsut make a newbie and pump up the stats on it to do the smithing. This site is very good, jsut wasnt sure if there was another.

          Thanks for the input all

Not sure if Halas has everything. Any place that has smithing supplies can get you to 115 easy with banded.
Going beyond that requires either doing the High Quality Ore quests and and doing ornate (Which is a horrible pp sink hole) or going straight to fine plate which takes lots and lots and LOTs of leather padding, which is fairly easy enough to farm and avilable in the bazaar for about 20pp a shot.
Fine plate goes up to 188, after that it gets much more complicated... read some guides for more info.
