  • Great finds in Bazaar PC merchant shopping

Flipside to the great finds in vendor mining What about great finds in Bazaar merchant pricing.

I continually get a laugh out of it when people in the bazaar try to undercut my tradeskill produced goods, and price below merchant buyback. Just in the last few days, I have purchased

    Velium Diamond ring - 300pp
Golden Diamond mask (3)- 200pp for 2 of them 150pp for the other
    Platinum ruby veils (2) - 50pp each
Silver star ruby veil (5) - prices ranging from 10-50pp

This has also held true regarding various types of ornate chain armor, and several types of dropped items, including spells, forest loops, and staffs of writhing, just to name a few.

I'm not talking about the general "good deal" where someone undercuts the market, but still charges more than the merchant will pay.

In all the cases above, I COULD have made a profit, merely by selling the items directly to a merchant in the bazaar. Of course, i do keep 2 opal steins, and my SH trader neck item equipped, to get the best prices. Most of these, I turned around, repriced at merket, and resold.

I focus primarily on tradeskilled items, since I hate to see these markets killed.

Anyone else find deals like this?

    Bazaar finds

I saw a couple the other day, and am still kicking myself for not buying them (don't ask me what I was thinking!)

Nathsar Breastplate for 5k (Normally an 18k item)
Bracelet of Fortitude for 4k (Normally a 12-14k item)

    Blah.

Sea temper priced at 30 each a few days ago. Don't know if it was that great a find or not but bought out the stack the person had on them for when my baby human smith is ready to do cultural after fine plate.

200 anaconda/griffon meat/plant shoots at 5pp each. I never see more than 5 for sale at a time in the bazaar, usually 10-20pp.

No one replied with what started the thread yet...

He didn't say good deals... he said purely dumb deals.... where the guy is selling something at less than vendor price.

The other day someone was /ooc Forest loops 250pp!!

Naturally he sold before I could get to him, but that is just comical, hehehe

I have bought a few jewelry items for under vendor buyback, found out by accident... now when I buy stuff in the bazaar I do check what an NPC vendor would pay for it.

On the average day if you know what a vendor buys for, you could search bazaar and make tons instantly buying off an AFK trader, and selling to an NPC... for cha gear I use Kobold jesters crown and 2 opal steins.

I have seen Enamelled Black Maces for 20p... those sell to Vendors for ~47p.

My one big buy was a Ring of Flowing Slime for 150p. Of course, I did send the guy a tell letting him know he should contact me if that wasn't the price he intended.

He ended up getting it back from me... and since then he's bought 3 sets of Solstice Earring gifts & a couple of Troll-crafted items from me.

I have seen a few good deals. Normally its from PC's whose race has rubbish charisma to start with. A pair of jasper velium rings for 100pp each, a silver ruby veil for 100pp, a pair of golden ruby rings for 50pp each, etc. Loads of profit to be made if you know what to look for.

My favorite all time PC mechant blunder was when my hunting partner found me four vials of purified mana... at 10pp apiece. Almost felt sorry for the person who sold it... ALmost.

Bought a Forest Loop for 50pp once... didn't question the motives behind such pricing, just ran to the bank to get my coppers as fast as my Barbarian legs would allow.

Haven't found any really GREAT deals, but the other day bought 17 diamonds for 180pp, resold to vendor at 10pp profit per. Bought 20 nephrite at 20pp, 27pp profit per piece.

About a week after the bazaar opened I got a Fleshgrinder for 5k. Sold it later for 65k. Found a matchless dragon BP for 6k that I have loaned to a friend (they go for 25-30k) and I really scored on a stack of Stormrider bloods for 20pp each. I got 1k each for them, they sold out over night.

Back when BoA was selling for 50K I found 2 mispriced on a trader for 5k each both went to guild clerics that could use.
