Melted Glacier Whiskey

Hello,

I came back to the game after some time off and I am trying to complete my Journeyman Brewer Test. I need a Melted Glacier Whiskey so I head off to Thurgadin and find that all the little dwarfs have been slaughtered.

Two questions, what happened in Thurgadin and where can I now get a Melted Glacier Whiskey?

Someone attempted the 10th Coldain Ring quest (where you defend Thurg from the giants) and they failed, which allowed the giants to overrun Thurg and wipe it. It takes a while for it to reset. I don't think it was much more than a day or so. It has been a long time since I've seen it happen though.
