    Bags. I see bags and bags and bags. I close my eyes and see bags. Red bags, blue bags, yellow bags, green bags. I have bags in my car and bags under my eyes. Bags inside of bags, dogs and cats, living in bags. . . MASS HYSTERIA!!

    Tradeskilled up to 14 slot now. 12 slot are more common, as are heavy bags for your bank that are cheaper, and lighter bags for your loot that are more expensive to make. Two new main inventory slots on your character. One big change is the inventory slot order (that will take some getting used to.)

    Instead of:
    1 5
    2 6
    3 7
    4 8

    It will be
    1 2
    3 4
    5 6
    7 8
    9 10

    Housing looks superb. Lots of things you can do. Great fun for those of you that like that kind of thing. Houses will have some neat surprises too (but I won't spoil them for now.) /queue eerie music from days gone by. . . .

    Other than that, the typical multitude of expansion tradeskill goodness. New cultural, higher alchemy potions, more spell research (and everything else I forgot to mention). Oh, did I mention bags yet? Housing items using fletching (though I like to think of it more as wood working now.) You can place tradeskill devices in your house, make beds and book cases and more, oh my.

    Should be a very fun expansion for tradeskillers, with lots of goodies to make (and sell.)

    Hope you all enjoy. I tested as much as I could. Carpal Tunnel should subside in about May. . . .

    Couple additional notes.

    New "meat" to use in baking.

    New "dust" in the theme of expansion specific drop for tradeskilling. Same type of thing Chronal Resonance Dust and Cosgrove Powder were for SoD and UF, respectively.

    Also, did we mention new bags?

    Expansions of the cultural armor, weapons, bows, seals (group and raid), symbols (armor, weapon, ranged) all with new sets of ore/pelt/silk and loam/marrow/fluid drops that are likely to be highly sought after in the early part of the expansion and a bit more commonplace in the latter portions. No word yet on if these will be truely global drops like the previous versions or if they will try and lock them behind zones that require you to hunt in the new zones for them.

    The zones themselves look nice, good artwork. No new tradeskill AA that I recall seeing, (sadly), but otherwise looks like it may be a worthwhile expansion, if only for the more inventory slots, expanded extended target window, and umm bags

        Yeah...houses and plots are much less expensive than I had thought they would be (see this message on EQLive's forum), but with upkeep and things like ongoing costs for storage in the house and whatnot, this is clearly a plat vacuum. Ah, well.

        Anyone got recipes for new bags?

                      triv 515 (i heard that the triv was lowered but couldn't get back on beta to verify) - I had approx 50% success rate with max skill and max trophy.

                      Unexpanded tailored legendary bag

                      wt 0.1
                      wt red - none
                      12 giant slots

                      1 - reinforced filament
                      1 - fantastic animal pelt
                      2 - fantastic silk
                      2 - dream dust
                      1 - tailored bag pattern
                      triv 540 (i heard that the triv was lowered but couldn't get back on beta to verify) - I had approx 50% success rate with max skill and max trophy.

                      This is the tradeable precursor to the following 2 bags which become no drop after a trivial 15 combine:

                      Heavy tailored legendary bag (bag is combined with an inexpensive component, sorry, don't recall the name)
                      14 slot
                      weight = 800

                      tailored legendary bag (bag is combined with a more expensive component, sorry, don't recall the name) (component cost was just over 3k)
                      14 slot
                      weight = 0.1
                      Wt reduction 100%

                      In my time in beta dream dust dropped fairly commonly.
                      I did not see any fantastic silks or pelts drop anywhere so not sure where they will drop

                      Edit note:
                      These are not the live recipes.
                      I just saw a post on the beta boards that the number of dream dust required is being increased and the fail rate is being reduced.

                        So...let me see if I've got this straight: The same materials (specifically, fantastic pelts and silks) required to make top-end cultural armor in HoT are also required to make bags with more than 10 slots?

                        At least, I'm assuming that fantastic pelts are the top end pelts and required for level 90 cultural armor...

                          i didn't look close at the cultural while in beta but if they require fantastic silks / pelts then yes.

                          This morning I saw the first fantastic silk drop, so now I have one! YAY! More please! It dropped off a named in the house.
                          I'm glad of that as I was afraid they would only be found in the upper tiers.

                          If the Ogah is reading, please consider at least temporarily bumping up the drop rate on these. Would be nice at least for a couple weeks to see them drop off trash mobs to get the bags going.
                          I'd love to see this as a universal drop even if the rarity was high. But at least in the beginning it would be cool to boost the tradeskillers.

                            I'm guessing that it is a universal drop off mobs of a certain level range, and that the named you were fighting was just higher level than other mobs in the zone. They'll probably be more readily available in the higher tier zones where mobs are of higher level.
