  • Cultural Symbol Diety restrictions need to go.

Anyone else think that cultural symbols could and should have their diety specifics removed?

Any race can make any diety, so the only true cultural aspect of cultural is the armor crafting.

There are too many options available for symbols to allow you to keep a set in stock, without having to gamble that the diety you choose will be needed.

Keep the armor race specific, but turn the symbols in to All/All, or perhaps allow the final user to make a no fail combine with the diety specific water if you must continue to require diety restrictions.

The stats are all the same on the armor, but on the weapons there are some variations in the procs and effects and stats that each deity provides.

So there is some purpose to the deity on the symbols in the crafted weapons so not something to completely get rid of.

Not that I disagree, but the armor symbols aren't 100% identical - the saves on each vary by diety. I wouldn't mind seeing the saves the same and the diety restriction removed either though!

AKA Muertenie, Melodee, Orelinde, Nounie, Gnomess, Cininea Ashryn, Mairede or a host of additional alts. Maybe also be found on Rabon, Kynsh or Atracker.

Perhaps on an individual piece the stats may vary slightly, but I thought that for a set they were all the same, either way it does not change much.

I would be fine with the change for the armor, make the symbol (similar to the current raid seal concept) a single item with the stats and then customize it out to each deity with a no fail combine or leave it as is with a generic name and remove the deity restrictions from the armor symbols.

Unless you remove the deity restrictions and the deity naming completely, it does not really save Ngreth any work when creating the next series of items which is a benefit that this idea has but I also kind of like the RP aspect of this armor is special to my race, only my race can make it and then I found a symbol blessed by my deity that I use to show who I am. Race + Armor Type + Deity = defines the toon (from an RP standpoint.)
