  • ItemDataManage program

For anyone who is still using the ItemDataManage program and wondering where the website went, I've been trying to get some DNS and hosting issues resolved. Hopefully they're all straightened out and we're merely awaiting the updates to propagate their way down the infobaun.

If you got version 8.91a before the site went down, that's still the latest version. You'll know the sites back up and working once you see the stuff in the lower right corner populating like it normally does.

For those unfamiliar with this, this is a program that gives you a summary of all your character's inventories, missing spells, what research is needed for those spells, various old style quest progress steps and other little bits of useful character info. After today (wednesday), you should be able to go to www.eq-manager.com (that's eq-manager dot com for those who are link restricted) and see a sample of what it looks like.

edit: The hosting issue seems to be resolved,. So if it's not working for you yet, it's just needing to get the DNS propagation to your domain name server. And if that's the case, you ought to look into setting up with OpenDNS. It's free and gives good flexibility to block ad sites as well as phishing pages and other junk pages out there.

Pardon my noob question, but where do you extract the program to? The program looks great, btw! Thanks for all your work!

It can be extracted to any directory you want. But there's the least amount of complications if you put it in the same directory that you have EQ installed in (since that's where EQ will write all the /outputfile files).
