8th Shawl Complete on Bristlebane

Well just wanted to share my excitement! Last night, with the aid of guildmates, allies and friends, I was able to escort the General to the gnomes. After speaking with the Avatar, I now proudly wear my Blessed Coldain Prayer Shawl. I love the stats and the Flowing Thought III means I can charm almost constantly with minimal mana loss now! Thanks to the Denmother and EQ Traders site for hints, tips, recipes and all that good stuff that made this possible

Did the tailoring of 160 make you fail several times? My skill is just 151 and I have a geerlock thingie to add to that.

No I succeeded first time on my Shawl 6 (The one with the 75 threads). I used the RNG to my advantage (At least I like to thyink I did). I kept singing a song until I got a missed note (5% chance) and then combined immediately after that. My theory was the chance of success was low and the RNG is streaky so...and it worked. Not sure if luck was with me or not. I didn't fail any of the shawl combines so I think Bristlebane was smiling on me. Also with 158 tailoring I made about 16 of 17 Soft Fur Paddings and got 2 skill ups in the process.
