  • Question About the Certificates your get when you do the trophy Quests

Is there any reason for keeping the certificates you get when you complete the tradeskill trophy quests (i.e. Lourneyman smithing certificate, freshman baking certificate, etc., etc., etc.). I have 9 of them taking up space in the bank. Thanks for the replies.

I thought you combined those in the trophy so that it's set up to the correct level (and it poofs when you do that.)

      Correct.

If you have completed any trophy except the Tier 1 (Beginner) Trophy (which gets not certificate, because it is already the appropriate Tier), you will receive both a Tier 1 (Beginner) Trophy and a certificate.

What you are supposed to do then (but not required) is to equip the Tier 1 (Beginner) Trophy into a Primary or Secondary slot (I think this may have been changed later to any slot, but I always did mine in Primary to be safe) and then put the certificate in the appropriate tradeskill container (Brewing Barrel for Brewing, Fletching Kit for Fletching, etc...) and hit combine.

When you hit combine, the Trophy will consume the certificate and automatically "level" up to a % equivalent to your current skill level within the Tier of the trophy. If you have already leveled beyond the current Tier it will level up to 99.9%, such that any successful non-trivial combine within the appropriate level range (100 if <250 raw skill, any if >250 raw skill) will level the Trophy.

In other words. if you have already leveled up your Trophies beyond the Tier they were created under, you can destroy the certificates.
