  • Hilt wraps, studs and fill. Too easy?

Anyone have opinions on the relative ease to the 260s for smithing and tailoring on vanadium studs/fill or immaculate hilt wraps?

One easily made or purchased item (shears, file or hammer) and then bazaar bought item to take even the novice smith/tailor to within a few hundred combines of 300? I got my dumb as a post Paladin to 200 tailoring in 51 minutes using just hilt wrap combines.

It just seems too easy IMHO but I would love to hear the input of other folks.

    Vanadium and Immaculate

That it depends on your supplies. My mains don't hunt yet where Vanadium and Immaculate drop, so I haven't tried that route.

I do find however, that the cultural templates will get any tailor/smith quickly to 250 (Indium ore and pristine silk/pelts at the end). The last bit to 300 takes quite a few more combines, tho.

It is a bit embarrasing to be able to create a 300 smith in a couple of days, when it took my mains years to get there. Anyone need a Luclinite Hammer or Vah Shir Anvil?

      Cheap supplies in Bazaar

Though the supplies for templates in the 'close to 300 range' still fetch a fair price, I have found on quellious that Tantalum, vanadium, exquisite and immaculate items are quite cheap (like 1pp per) in the bazaar. I'm assuming that's because people don't want to buy the coal and threads that are so expensive per combine to use those ingredients for templates....

AKA Muertenie, Melodee, Orelinde, Nounie, Gnomess, Cininea Ashryn, Mairede or a host of additional alts. Maybe also be found on Rabon, Kynsh or Atracker.

Exactly. I'm on Quellious also and I took my Main from 200 to 300 + the Hammer Trophy in about 2 days using stuff I socked away for a couple of months on my Bazaar Trader.

I agree that this is mind-numbingly easy nowadays, but no more so that Jewelcrafting (OMG that was a BREEZE using the uncuts in the Bazaar). Brewing was my first tradeskill to 300 and I did that on four recipes: Fetid Essence to 122, Faydwer Shaker to 188 Minotaur Hero's Brew to 248 and then the Kaladim Constitutional to 300. Total time combining was weeks (over a month) and all I did was the combines (that was pre-Intelligent Containers (no instant recipes). The long time waiting on ground spawns and not having instant recipes are the main reason I never went back and max'd that trophy...
