  • "This seems correct but something is wrong."

Someone please help me - I'm so very frustrated. I've spent the last 2 hours or so going over every site I could find to explain what I may be doing wrong here.

My character is a lvl 75 Drakkin druid. I just hit 300 tailoring and I'm trying to make an Elegant Crystalweave Robe.

I did the quest to get the backpack full of patterns. I did all the subcombines and when I went to combine the ingredients in my Crystalwing sewing kit, I received the following message:

This seems correct but something is wrong. Perhaps you need to know something more in order to combine this

I'm at a total loss here. I'm back to EQ after a long break so I missed the DON expansion and the SS as well - I came in during the SoF expansion. Half the guides to DON cultural armor I'm finding online seem to be outdated because apparently all the cultural armor changed with the SS expansion!

I'm even asking on EQ for any master tailors/smiths to clue me in here, but my server seems remarkably unfriendly.

Can anyone help me? Please? *whimper*

You are missing one of the books. Go up to the vendors standing around outside the entrance to the POK library (there's about five them clustered there in an alcove off to the left before you enter the library) and buy the cultural books from them. Right click on the books and mem them.

They put the recipe in your tradeskill window, but memming them is also required to make the armor. I believe that you cant see the last one or two of them on the vendor until you are 300 in that skill - so if you bought them before 300 and thought you had them all, another would be showing up now that you are 300.

I don't know if one in particular is required, maybe the elegant - or all of them. I just bought them all.

Thank you so much! I was forming all kinds of scary thoughts in my head about what I would need to be able to do this. :P I'm so glad it was really that simple. I bought the book of elaborate armor, scribed it, and the combine worked. Yay! Many thanks.
