  • PoP tailoring

I'm in a progressive guild. We are currently doing PoP. Why do Tier 2 crafted items require vials of mana, which are currently only crafted by visiting PoR zones?

The vials of mana can be alternatively made through a PoR drop but can be made by enchanters with normal store bought materials.

    Any INT caster PoR Route:
Celestial Essence, Coalesced Mana(3), Poison Vial, Ruby(5)
    In: Spell Research Kit
    Yield: 1
This combine may only be made by Enchanters, Magicians, Necromancers, or Wizards
    Trivial at: 200

    Storebought Enchanter Only Route:
    # Cast Spell Components: Poison Vial, Ruby(4), Spell: Purify Mana
    In: None - Cast Spell
    Yield: 1
This combine may only be made by Enchanters
    No Fail Combine

    # Cast Spell Components: Poison Vial(5), Ruby(20), Spell: Mass Purify Mana
    In: None - Cast Spell
    Yield: 5
This combine may only be made by Enchanters
    No Fail Combine

Yeah. The PoR is an ALTERNATE method... the original method is the enchanter only spell. (that spell has been ion the game for a very long time... perhaps since the beginning)

The chanter spells have been on since at least Velious...I remember always nagging chanters in my guild for more mana vials when I was working on Wu's to skill up for the Coldain shawl quest what, seven years ago?

(Course monks actually wore Wu's then, too.)
        Garshok
95th Dreadlord, Povar-Quellious, 300 Ogre Grand Master Smith, 300 all skills
(glad the climb to 300 is finally over)

        Zopharr
95th Priest of Brell, Povar-Quellious, 300 Dwarven Grand Master Smith, 300 all skills
(holds his 15% smithing trophy in his off hand and pretends to dual-wield - and hopes the Holy Dirt of Brell he's carried for twelve years will have a use in the new expansion)

        Rishathra
95th Shaman of Inny, Povar-Quellious, 300 Troll Grand Master Smith
(got so tired of looking for a troll smith for armor that I made one)

        Marzanna
        95th Necromancer, Povar-Quellious, 300 Tinker - Tailor
        (still working on Solder, Spy)

I recall they were out prior to Velious, Wu's Fighting Guantlets (didn't they used to be called Fighting Fists? I digress) being good sellers to monks as they were MAGIC gloves and made their hand to hand work on mobs INVULNERABLE to (unmagical) melee.
