  • End of Corpse Banking

With the patch today on 10/7, players will now respawn with full gear and inventory.

This will end the ability to corpse bank anything. While I personally do not use this "tactic" of storing excess items/materials on a corpse, I do know that some tradeskillers use it. I wanted to post that it would no longer function, and also try and generate some discussion on these forums about feelings about corpse banking but want to limit the flaming of "OMG WE HAVE NO BANK SPACE LEFT".

Can still use Shroud to gain extra bank space for a few hours, which is all is really needed for tradeskilling.

Oh my... I didnt think of that.

As with many tradeskillers my bank is totally full with bits and pieces, also many bags are full of hald done quest items or small quest containers. My inventoy is nearly full on my charachter with stuff too.

When I wanted to do a run of tradeskills I would die, loot my clothes and maybe one bag with my trophies and a bit of food/drink. I would then trophie summon a bunch of bags, do my tradeskilling and then loot my origional bags once I wwas done.

Yep this new 'dumbing down the game' fix has effectivly lost a lot of tradeskillers those 8 slots of temporary storage space'

At least we are getting rid of all those tradeskill tools this expansion???????
      (I hope)

As for the extra bank space you can also store stuff on corpses in shadowrest.

Not if all your bags and items never go on your corpse. Unless there is some functionality that I dont know about.

Unless it was already on a corpse in shadowrest, there will be nothing new going to that zone.

How could you magically be teleported to your bind? TLs require you to accept them. Ports take you to unique points in each zone, whether a druid or wizard ports you so unless you bind on a port in spot, so it is possible I guess, but not likely.

If you fall asleep and wake up at your bind, you should already be looking for if you had any corpses, nothing really new there.

I am not sure how the shroud bank for unloading unless you do tradeskills in shrouded form?

Managing your inventory and bank space is a part of the game. If you want to have the flexibility to take 6 bags worth of space and empty them out just to tradeskill, you have to limit what you store in the bank, or be able to shift things around to alts to achieve your goal.

For shrouding, you shroud, take boxes out of your bank (not shared as it's not available, nor are your original character inventory slots). Put those containers on your shroud inventory, unshroud and presto, you have new bank slots, and 1-8 bags in your shroud bank for upto 6hrs.

Doable but very dangerous since anything left in your shroud bank for too long poofs.

True but you have 48 hours and it pops up an annoying message EVERY time you zone and reminds you how much time is left before they poof. So yes it can be dangerous but I feel Sony give you more then adequite warning of what will happen if they stay there too long.

Wow it is 48hrs, I thought it was only 6hrs. 48 is more than enough time.
